International Federation for Eurasier Breeding (IFEZ)
Quality of Breeding
All IFEZ members regularly exchange their health data and are thus ensuring the basis for breeding healthy Eurasiers world-wide.
The breeding officials review and decide every year which health data should be collected in our international database. This ensures that newly emerging problems can be acted upon quickly. Because of that, new issues are rarely of importance to all members.
The recommendations regarding criteria that exclude from breeding are being discussed and adapted yearly, to follow state-of-the-art knowledge.
The IFEZ Certificate for puppies bred by breeders in our member clubs ensures a buyer of the quality and professionalism of the respective breeding establishment.
Excerpt of the Certificate:
- Parents are assessed for their suitability for breeding by a breeding inspector or conformation judge
- Matings are based on scientifically founded estimated breeding values and have the aim of producing healthy and resilient Eurasiers of sound temperament
- Commercial breeding is prohibited
- Breeding premises and the environment puppies grow up in is controlled by specially trained breeding inspectors
- Puppies are brought up in the family and as a consequence are lovingly imprinted onto humans and their environment
